For international tourists, the main route to Cape Coral is via plane. The nearest airport is Ft. Myers International Airport (RSW) with only a 45 minute drive to Cape Coral.
But the airports Miami International Airport (MIA), Tampa International Airport (TPA) and sometimes even Orlando International Airport (MCO) are popular routes as well.
In any case it is usually a good idea to get a rental car. Not only to be able to explore the area but also for the trips from your rental home to the supermarket and any other daily activities.

We found this brand new luxuriously appointed waterfront villa and everything within to be of the highest standard offering both sophistication and style. The villa itself is very open and spacious with high quality furnishings and equipped with all the amenities that we needed to enjoy a memorable vacation. This is a beautifully decorated villa located in a prestigious area that leaves you wanting nothing but to stay longer.
From the large south facing pool area we were able to relax and enjoy stunning water views across a wide tropical waterway teaming with fish and admire the passing watercraft, from magnificent yachts to racing sculls traversing the canal throughout the day..
